Airport Commission

Key Issues:
I just can't figure out how such a small town with no business can have such a nice airport.  It looks great.  I just don't understand how we can be successful at an airport and not other business. 

Basically, Powell Markowitz has big plans for that airport, and he is getting FAA grants to expand.  It is true that an airport would be an attraction for business, but not by itself.  There has to be other reasons for a business to come here.  There were some letters sent out about buying more land to expand, but that's apparently not something that's funded yet.    Hangars have been approved, and that's underway.  There are supposed to be about 30 hangars being built. 

But we don't get any business anyway.  A bigger question than the airport would be:  why don't we get any business?

 Somebody might be suing the airport, but we can't tell because the Supervisors talk about it in closed session.
